Slow maybe, but not dead! Being new here I have been mostly combing through the aid climbing archives; I'm absorbing as much information as I can. I'm learning from this site, and teaching myself everything I can (trial and error, mostly error but in a controlled environment). I've got a tick list, and aid is the key that unlocks the secrets of the list :) Wendy

The sheer volume has decreased, but this might have something to do with the word count of the posters. One might be tempted to speculate that only interesting questions garner answers these days... or just that it's winter (duh).

well it's not winter here! Sitting at home sweating, and planning a trip to the beach... Not aid, but heading down to frenchmans cap for some long climbs soon. If you haven't heard of frenchmans, Simon Carter has some lovely pics on his site www.onsight.com.au For all those of you stuck in winter :D

Winter is a fine time for aid. Zion is perfect right now...and empty. Come on down! Crossing the river and having to sit down in snow to put your shoes back on sucks, though. -Kate.

In reply to: Crossing the river and having to sit down in snow to put your shoes back on sucks, though. -Kate. Neoprene socks! Have you ever done the sandal toss across the virgin? Half the time I come up short and have to cross again to get em to the other side, and then back to the wall side. Sucks.
