I was practicing my aiding out there last weekend and someone choped the rivets on the A2 route. Whats up now the we cant do that route unless I replace them? Someone also placed copperheads in the little flake on the bolt ladder route that easily took nuts or cam hooks. Anybody know who or why?

Oh ya and does anyone know if the rock quarry is still open, and does any of the routes go clean?

Hi Climbingcowboy,
I notice the same thing . . .
You can do the A2 route by using batt hooks and tallon hooks ... I did it on top rope . . . because if you blow it on lead YOU WILL DIE!
Someone also chopped all the old 1/4 bolts at the top ???
I heard that the Riverside Rock Quarry is open (I get mixed info. on if it is really private property) and that a lot of HARD SPORT routes have been put up.

If the flake was thin and expanding, that would explain the copperheads. Copperheads catch better than nuts and a cam hook could blow the thing. If it's not someone just wanted to mess around with heads.

Ya i saw the bolts at the top are there one time and gone the next, I didn't even think about top roping it thats a good idea or maybe I'll stick one rivet or bolt in the middle so its leadable. Are you intrested in going over and checking out the Rock Quarry?
