Has anyone had any troubles transporting ice tools via air travel ? I have had my share of looks since 9/11 airport reforms, We can agree that these tools do look savage if you have no idea what they are used for ? Also, if you have had troubles, which airports have they been, and which airlines ? keep crankin !!!!

No problems if checking them. I wouldn't carry them on!

You couldn't carry on ice tools BEFORE 9/11 either (at least I couldn't). I had forgotten one was in my bag heading onto plane in 1998. I didn't have much luggage so I wasn't planning on checking any of my bags. The guy at security turned me away immediately and I had to go check my bags, missed my flight, and had to take the next flight 3 hours later.

You can carry guns in your checked lugage. Ice tools will be fine.
