Jeff, The Ohio Page details the few crappy areas here in Ohio. I've been to Hocking Hills once and it was fair, at best. All the less than vertical routes were moss covered and the steep ones were pretty shear. It had some potential for a couple nice lines, but the Forest Service won't let anyone bolt the over-hanging faces, so I don't think there'll ever be too much there. Best bet: Head south to "The Red" in Kentucky or Nelson Rocks Preserve, "The New" or Seneca in West Virginia. I'm near Mansfield and, while I've not been to "The Red" yet (just moved to this flat state last summer), it only takes me +/- 6 hours to get to Nelson Rocks Preserve or "The New". Good luck and I hope this helps. Mick

Ya. you're pretty much out of luck... There's nothing around... Somebody told me once that there was a small, tiny boulder field in bowling green, but I doubt it's worth anything. You're just gonna have to get used to driving to get near anything good. The Red is well worth the drive though, it'll keep you busy for a long, long time. Eric
