Just another pic from my collection. Click it to see description, etc. What could I have done to improve this one?

There are actuall alot of things I like about this photo:
The greens in the grass are very nice
The Blue sky is great.
The framing is good, The rope exiting the upper conrer is nice.
The no shirt - with snow in the background is good too.

What Would improve it - get rid of the hat .. unless his hair is really bad ;)
Maybe a wider shot of the surroundings, It looks like an amazing landscape, perhaps seeing more of it would be good.

I understand how hard it is to get a good photo of someone doing something that is prety standard, If the rock were steeper, it might have a more "Cool" factor to it, but I think this is a prety decent photo, I'd be proud of it if it were mine.

Before seeing Biffs comments I immediately thought that the hat was the one thing that really stood out as the thing that would improve the photo. It`s all about faces, eyes even better.

Slabs are notoriously difficult to photograph but Simon Carter has covered what might improve your photo.

Wider angle. The scene looks beautiful and you have nice colors. I just wish there were more of it. Right now in the image the climber and the scenary are competing. If there was more landscape involved, the scenerary would become more primary and the climber would just be there as an added bonus to the shot. Nice image except for the climber is schmarming up the holds......

Except the hat issue, which is already beaten to death, i would point to the grass in front. With the grass, he is reaching to the ground, and without it, he is 3 pitches above
It is really nice and green, but it kills the climbing/rappeling action part, if there is any....

Hmm, you could be right there. It was just a tuft of grass in a crack, but true. He actually is almost to the ground though. ;)
