The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is hosting their third annual climbing competition on Friday March 5th. The event will be held at the university's climbing gym (which has recieved national recognition as an outstanding college gym). The gym is located at the university recreation center in La Crosse, WI. Registration will begin at 4:30pm with competition climbing starting at 5:30pm. The event is entirely FREE, and free lodging can be arranged as well if needed. Feel free to post any questions or inquiries about specific directions or anything else. Thanks.

Sick! Free comp, sounds sick! I hope there are some nasty overhanging finger pocket crimp sloper routes, i only climb 5.12 or harder. Let me know if your comp will be sick enough for that or not.

The routes will range from V0-V7, so climbers of every ability level can enjoy the competition. There will be separate scoring for a men’s and women’s amateur and advanced division.

I have received a few private messages which brought up good questions. The competition is open to anyone. You do not need to be a UW -L student
