What is the most climbs or pitches you have done in one day? When i go to the craig im never in too much of a rush, i might get to do 10 good routes depending on how hard they are and how big the party is and how crowded the area is.

I believe the current record in Joshua Tree (not held by me, by the way) is 200 routes in one 24 hour day. Curt

In reply to: I believe the current record in Joshua Tree (not held by me, by the way) is 200 routes in one 24 hour day. Curt I'd read a report of 125 in JT. Surprised someone beat it by that much. OTOH, IIRC the 125 didn't include night-climbing.

I guess the most pitches I have done in a day is Serenity to Sons Of Yesterday linked to Crest Jewels. Should be roughly 20 pitches, we linked some.

I recall reading some news blurb about some dudes in England running up and down a cliff band there for a day, setting some record. /me searches for source.

I also can sent out 2 or 3 routes in a normal day. But the most I had in one day may be 5 routes. Well, that would be like, a 4 pitches in one route, lunch, and a couple of problems in the same boulder. Hope I can do better than that over time, but not dreaming in beating those records you mentioned.

Hrm....most pitches I've climbed in a day? probably 15 when we did Royal Arches. I usually average between 6 & 10 for any given route...

The JT climbs were probably all or mostly short easy, single pitch routes (although around pitch 100, I don't even think climbing into my car would be easy). How about this one: What's the most you've done with all multipitch routes in a day? And this: the same, but during daylight (no night climbing)?

I kinda remember reading in Climbing or Rock & Ice that a couple of guys did 1300 in a day, or something crazy like that.

I'm trying to think of the "most" I've had plenty of 15-20pitch days doing link-upsIthink MAYBE it was - Tunnel vision, Group Therapy, Healy's haunted house, and Olive oil- CTC in like 8 hours. That's 24? They were all easy though(but really good)- and we drove over to do Olive Oil. josh
