I got that harness, and its worked fine for me. I use it for the gym, sport climbing and trad climbing.

The Black Diamond Momentum Harness is cheap. Go for it.

Buying a harness is like getting seat belts for your car. As long as they keep you from hitting the windshield, and don't empty your pocketbook unneccessarily, they are OK.

Arc'teryx.

It will last longer and be cushier. Anything else is a compromise.

I personally like the Petzl Corax. A lot of nice features for only $70. A huge debate on how comfortable it is, but I find it very comfortable.

DEFINATELY!!! This is the very first thing I check for when looking at harnesses. If it's not adjustable, I won't buy it.

... Just don't want to die.... My advice. Buy a good pair of shoes and you won't need a good harness. If you have a good pair of shoes then boulder until you don't need a good harness.

You sound like my cousin--he is 16, about your weight and height and just getting into the sport. Talk about crankster!

With his strength/weight/height ratio his body type seems better suited than a short stoutie body like mine.

Good luck w/ your new harness, I'll second xcel360. Love my Corax.

I think you should go light and fast. Buy a 20' spool of 5.5 spectra, and tie a traditional swiss seat. It will hold you and a small car. Be sure to cross the lines you run between you legs for extra security. Take a whipper in it then ask again. More nicely.
