why choose?? I am always confused by the folks that are so hardcore about one aspect of climbing, and completely dismiss all other forms. I think every form has it's place. I will always go climb, with anyone, anytime, any discipline. Why waste time and energy trying to tell other people what is best. I'd rather just go climbing.

In reply to: why choose?? I am always confused by the folks that are so hardcore about one aspect of climbing, and completely dismiss all other forms. Because sometimes certain "venues of climbing" shouldn't be considered climbing at all...

BOTH! Add a healthy dose of trad (especially multi-pitch), and an occasional Big Wall, stir well and enjoy.

Bouldering, Sport, Trad, Ice, Alpine, Aid, Buildering, gym... you name it I'll do it. (Spray disclaimer: Haven't done them all yet but plan to) I also don't see why you should have to choose a particular type of climbing. But I guess I feel happiest on Trad so maybe I choose trad... meh whatever it's all climbing and it's all good.
