Dear Great Dr. Piton,

As I have recently made the jump from sport climbing to big wall climbing, I find that my puny arms and legs are no match for the MASSIVE RACK I must carry up the entire wall. Although many years of sport climbing have decreased the size of my testicles considerably due to atrophy secondary to disuse, I am now leading A3+ and they are starting to hypertrophy again whick adds more poundage to me.

So I ask you, Dr. Piton, why do I have to carry every piece of gear we have on every pitch when I don't use all of it. I don't want to be stuck without a necessary piece, but I don't like to carry it all. There has to be a better way!!! I've heard of "tagging" but that sounds like a child's game. I certainly don't want to be acting like a child on a wall!! And what's the difference between tagging and zipping??

Yours truly,

Skippy the Sport Climber

Pete,
Good to hear that your're busy 'cause it's been boring around here while you were in a hole in the ground.

Patiently Awaiting Enlightenment,
Jeff
