spring time is climb time--where would you most want to go climbing in the world (without worrying about money or a job or crazy locals) i think i really want to go to: australia--great looking climbing, surfing on off days, and i love that accent! thailand--climbing on the beach! what can be better (i guess the bolts not rusting out--and the creepy perverts there for the kid-sex tours...) france (again)--its been a year since i was there--the best limestone in the world--alps, wine, and hot chicks... baffin--it just looks awesome, alone, desolate--and kick ass granite... rumney--probably in fall to see all the tree change color... where would you want to go?

Today? I want to go back to Moab. Been back 3 days and I miss it so goddamn much.   With an unlimited bank account? Australia....Grampians, Arapiles...or over to New Zealand. The pics I've seen on this site from those areas intrigue me so. Damn cost of getting there holds me back. Ehh, who am I kidding. I'd use my vacation time to go back to Moab and put the airfare money in the bank  .

Anywhere near San Diego. Basically because I am a midwest chick who scored a sweet summer job in Coronado and I'm counting the days until I can run away from my grad school responsiblities and go play in sunny CA. That reality is just too sweet right now to ruin with dreams of other places. :D PS if there are any nice San Deigo-ans out there who wouldn't mind a noobie tagging along this summer I will gladly haul gear and bring beer in exchange for some solid climbing experiances!

Moab sounds very good-its always good. Miss that place too- even though I go almost every weekend. But, If I could go anywhere, I'd go to the moon and climb 5.15's in low gravity!

VRG is on the other side of the state. Moab has a bit of everything. Juggy stuff, splitter cracks, towers, long multipitch, hard sport (MCC), aid, trad....endless rock. Endless!!!!! 8) www.climbingmoab.com pics section alone will get you wanting to get on the road this second best overall site for all things Moab: www.moab-utah.com Or of course PM me and I will happily respond to any Moab queries.

I spent 8 weeks in cali last year.Wouldn't mand spending that much time in Moab this year. But I'll end up in Tuolumne again this summer for a little bit.But wouldn't mind climbing in the Moab area this year. I'll have to beat my climbing partner over the head and drag him out to go that long or go solo.

New Mexico or something. Actually I've never been out there to climb but I've spent many a season there and have fallen in love with the area. Oh to finish out my days in New Mexico.

In reply to: A never ending road trip. Though I know people do that without money. We should shoot a climbing film along the lines of Endless Summer. 8)

Verdon, at the hanging belay start of "Ange en decomposition" (rotting/decomposing angel) 511b, 511d, 511a. Did it back then still one of the best routes I did. Love Verdon, and Buoux! Ahhh Limestone. The rock I learned on.
