yes absolutely, the toy biner can be combined with any toy (insert dog name), it's always best in my opinion to keep brands together when creating you're own gear, that's why it's a better/stronger buy if you get a toy dog and use a toy biner. the best thing about those poodles though is their versatility from stupid looking haircuts. you can get every single placement a variety of chiwawa's and labs could give you with one or two poodles

I prefer a parrot. Great for hook moves on aid. The bird gives bad beta most of the time however.

The next time someone gets on your case about bringing your dog to the crag, just tell them that he's part of your rack.

1. I have heard that I'm supposed to use nuts for climbing, but I only have two and what do I do when I have used them up?

well K9 do sum good nuts you can use, although you have to buy one of their four legged FRIENDS and get it converted into fixed pro in order to get some use out of the nuts, although the new version of the four legged friends (mans best friends) the built in nuts have a longer range, so with some streching you can set up a good anchor off of one boarder collie, black lab/respray etc etc etc

Why go through all the trouble?
I simply raise them until their nuts are the size I need (depending on the project I have going at the time) & I nueder them.
I have horses for the larger fist size cracks.

I think a cat would be good protection. Once placed, those claws would probably hold onto the rock pretty good.

What's the best way to rack my resprayed black (yellow) lab?? Would a dogbone toy biner be good for Nookie, or a bit too kinky? What color leash should I use? Neon yellow? Does red cause cancer in dogs, or just humans and lab rats? My dogs are both fixed, should I have kept the nuts for pro? I didn't think about it at the time- damn.

And if my Black/ sprayed yellow lab Spike isnt quite big enough for an off width on aid, I feed him a couple of my spare rabbits off my rack.

And, that elephant must be a bear to haul up the wall. Speaking of bears, whats better for trad, black, brown or Kodiak? I was told the Kodiaks have a larger expansion range but aren't dual axle, so can't be used for passive pro. Any ideas?

People for centuries have used Persian cats as pro. Their faces are so flat from centuries of hard one-hand placments while sketched.

All cats are fair game for shoving into any crack. And the tighter the fit the better. You can leave your nut tool at home too. Nobody will miss the cats.

I want to use two dogs in an opposite and opposed configuration for a top-rope anchor. What are the preferred breeds? Since dogs often greet each other in this fashion on the trail anyway (nose to butt...) this would be a natural use for our canine friends.

Jeez will you guys just stop all the trolling and flaming?

Come on and say with me , and I quote:

"It's all climbing brutha!"

Everyone has their style, strengths, weaknesses, epics and victories, but it's all the same. If If you want to kick some a$$, kick that one that folllows you everywhere you go.

---Escale.

P.S. And I'm going to post this on RC.com, you know, where everybody says they post and do searches.

Opps, this was supposed to go on another thread. ( edited once)
I didn't want to delete this coz I would look like I didn't now how to work my computer. (edited again)
Is this about using dogs as fixed pro. Only fixed dog pro I know of was Rin-Tin-Tin, Lassie and Benji. Those were some pro dogs. Have you seen the movie "Cats and Dogs" Those were some pro pets. Their vocal impersonations almost sounded like actors that came from other movies. (edited again)

Oh and I think we are up to 7 pages now if anyone is still counting.

Sorry, I read the whole thing. no trolls here cept me. sry.
I'm not very good with the copy paste thing, yet.
Hey, I don't think there is a limit to the number of times one can edit.

This is like getting stuck in a post thread where time time stands still. For some reason, I can't leave here. I keep going going to other forums and when I hit edit, it brings me back to here, back to here. Something must be wrong with my edit post button post button. I'm gonna reboot. laters.

Great, I can add to this post in edit mode, but when I hit hit teh delete or backspace kye my compputer ahngs up hangs up. This is the last time I trust those guys at The Goodwill Store. yhou just can't buy a good ocmputer for uner $15 bucks. Jeeze mow my keyboard is all msesedup. I give up;l.

New idea: use the dogs jaw as active pro instead of all this nut placement from the other side, save your dogs and use the cats like mentioned above for the passive stuff, no one misses them anyway.

I can't believe that in SEVEN pages of this (bearing in mind, you've got the toy biner, the bucket, the water, and the border collie to haul them around), nobody's drawn attention to the "Official" use of "Puffer Fish Pro" :

"Load a wicker creel [bucket] with 5 to 15 fish, with the spines removed prefitting each with a neoprene or C-4 sleeve. On route simply pluck out a puffer, hold it inside the crack, and scream. Frightened, the puffer will swell, creating a secure but temporary chockstone, around which you loop a 1/2 in. tie-off. Our puffers have remained lodged for the duration of full-rope Devil's Tower leads -- the moving rope and rattling carabiners keep the puffer on edge. . . . To deflate, the second can tickle them under the chin with a toothbrush."

-B. Cannon, QUICK CLIPS (by Climbing Magazine), p. 7 (1997).

Microsoft would find a way to monopolize the digital pro, and then screw it up. Your second would have to constantly update the OS security software. And it would still crash regularly with a damn illegal operation.

Apple would make the best pro, but it would be ridiculously overpriced and tough for some to learn how to place properly. Not all slings (except for neon green ones made by Apple, Inc) would be compatible. Their little white stoppers that play music are nice, I have the 20 gb size, the mini is good for small cracks, the 40 gb is nice for larger cracks.

Nobody knows about using bears as pro? :(
