Does anyone know of the status of Congress' ruling of Wilderness Study Areas and when they are supposed to either change the Study Areas to acutal Wilderness Designation or declassify them.

It's supposed to be 10 years max, but it often goes longer.

Yeah, that's the rumor but we have a local area that , as far as further route development goes, has been put on hold since the WSA went into effect. It's been hanging for at least 15 years now. The area has ENORMOUS sport potential and is far from the requirements for Wilderness designation. I've written our State Representative, is there anyone in the BLM or Congress whom's attention I could get to see what's up?
