I am going to be spending the summer in rural china and wanted to make sure that I got some good pics. But I am a big newb when it comes to this stuff. I have a minolta 707si (japanese version of 700si) and a 28-80 and a 75-300 lense. I was wondering what other sort of filters or accessories i should bring with me. I just plan on playing with settings while i get used to the camera. Are there any other lenses that i should get for capturing wide angle scenery shots? any other info to assist someone just starting out would be helpful too. thanks.

Lenses are perfect, cover a good range. No filters (except maybe a UV-filter), think of a good flash. That's it.

And, oh, practice in advance, before getting to China. That's the only way to make good pictures during your trip. Good equipment is no guarantee for good gear. Practice is.
