Are there any climbers from Santiago Chile on this forum?

I'm going there in a couple of weeks and would like to get to see some Chilean rocks!!! I'M only going to have two days (weekend) since i'm going there for work.

Last time I came, (last month) I climbed the Placa Roja in Banos Morales. But I can't afford a guide every time...

Thanx!

Guillaume

Oh yeah...I will be able to bring some gear, but be very limited (harness, shoes, helmet, couple cams nuts etc)

Hi, I am from santiago/chile, if you want to go climbing somewhere around Santiago while visiting us, there is no problem, only contact me by email: jaedward@puc.cl.

Bring winter clothes because the weather here is turning stormy, and the icefalls are getting ready, then if you like ice climbing bring your boots and cramponds too (though be prepared for a long walk). Trad climbing also possible, but for sure it will be freezing with snowy landscapes. Sport climbing is always an alternative and never farther than one hour drive from Santiago.

You will be welcome
bye
