I was there a few weeks ago and crowds were thick and temps were unseasonably hot. The river level was higher than I've seen it this time of the year but manageable -- cold, as usual. They just had a nasty cold front move through yesterday -- not sure how much rain (possibly snow?) they got, but it looks like temps are warming up again by this weekend. If you can't tell, I'll be there soon, too.

hey the dude, i'm heading out there soon, should be in springdale by next week friday. i'm have friends that live in Springdale/Rockville/Hurrican but, like i said, they live there so they have to work and stuff, so if you want to get together i would be game. i am thinking of doing a canyon or two while im out there and hopefully some climbing. i don't trad lead but i've followed some routes. sorry if this seems a bit forward, just making the offer. if you want to get hold of me just PM me or you can probably leave me a message at the Zion Adventure Company (for Phil), thats my buddy's shop.

Thanks for the offer Pawilkes, I plan on climbing by my self though. I'm giving up on wall partners for the spring.. one less person to blame for problems! I'll be In the 23.5 mile Campground that week. Look for the grey Tacoma blastin "Public Enemy" Stop By for a Beer! I can tell you some good 'ol Devil's Lake stories! Cheers The Dude

In reply to: im feeling a bit clueless, where is the 23.5 mile campsite? is the the BLM land outside Rockville? Yep. Approx. 7 miles west of the west entrance to Zion. South side of the road just past a loooong guard rail (if you're traveling west).

Kinda like going to a whore house to masturbate, ain't it? :wtf: :P

the locals boulder on a thing called "the globe". it is just before the south entrance on the west side of the road. you can park across the street at the movie theater and walk over pretty easily. there isn't alot of great stuff though.

Just got back from Zion this past Monday (the 17th) We climbed the North face of the Watchman. The temperature was in the mid 80's but it didn't feel hot at all. We thought the weather was great. It was nice to have longer days. Not many climbers on the trade routes.
