NOTE: This should probably be moved to the Arkansas section.

Anyways...no there aren't any mega stores like REI or EMS. There are stores like Lewis & Clark, Pack Rat, Uncle Sam's, etc though and they sell some climbing gear.

Coming from OK to do some climbing, eh? Lake Lincoln is near Fayetteville and is ok if the water has gone down. Horseshoe Canyon is the nicest sport climbing around. The Sam's Throne area has great trad lines.

If you decide to stay in OK check out the Witchita Mtns near Lawton. A group of friends and I are heading there tomorrow. Quartz Mtn is supposed to be cool. I haven't climbed at Chandler Park or Robbers Cave but have heard that they are nice toprope areas.

Lake Lincoln was perfect last Friday. I picked up the local guide book at Lewis and Clark.

I've visited both Lewis & Clark stores (Fayetteville and Rogers, just a few miles away) and was impressed with them. Nice design and merch display. Cool staff (they always offer you something to drink when you walk in), good selection, good sale stuff and they each have a free climbing wall. Not outlets, but real nice, big, cool stores.
