Seems like you could get stuff caught on stuff. That would be bad.

In reply to: In reply to: Has anyone here climbed nude? Considering it? Have youuuu????? JC No, but if i did, it would be an all-female ascent. I was just wondering what would motivate someone. There are some climbs that by tradition are done nude. Other than that, not sure, do people find it liberating?.

Sounds like some of the Vulgarian antics from the old days at the Gunks. Lots of documented history of naked climbing. I was soloing the 3rd flatiron about 8 years ago and about halfway up I noticed some guy starting to solo up from the east bench. I thought he looked a little weird. After I got to the summit I was think "What in the world is he wearing? Ahhh, shoes and a chalkbag." He came up to the summit had a conversation that reminded me of the Seinfeld subway episode with the big naked guy. Then he downclimbed and I rapped off the back.

I wouldn't mind doing Shockley's, but I'd want a similarly attired partner and a minimal audience. Rob

Been nakedclimbing but I would have to say naked bouldering is better (for guys) of getting snaged by that harness. Even done it in the gym before now that was a blast. I would recomned anyone to go ahead just choose your climbs carfully.

There's all these old people who like to scramble around southern UT nakit. If you see them coming "run away" (in high pitch Monty Python voice).

i think you should set up a climbing wall at burning man, i have never seen soo many naked people in my etire life. IM sure it would be fun, you would at least get to show another side of yourself to your climbing partner

Well, done some nakid boulderin before. I was at a bouldering spot that was new to me and I thought I was on a secluded boulder way away from anyone, so I got curious to how it would feel, it was a nice sunny and warm day with a nice breeze. Nobody came, but I found out later on that it was a quite popular boulder! I must say it did feel wonderful and very liberating. Talk about full range of motion! I have some friends (a girl and two guys) who soloed the Wham Ridge on Vestal Peak near Durango, co only in their shoes! 1700 ft. mellow (5.3 or something) climb up a sweet 13er deep in the Weminuche Wilderness!! Talk about feeling one with nature! They said it was amazing, and I must say, I wish I was there with them. Oh well, another time. They said they got some interesting looks from others in the area. Naked climbing is awesome, as long as you choose your route carefully!

Actually I did once, I was out late just getting off work and stopped off at the rocks near the girlfriend. Was feeling inspired by something....i dont know what, and just tried it for kicks, granted that was bouldering. It took a good portion out of me, and made for some intresting topics later when marking that "normally" dont happen were seen on me.
