Two partners are needed for 2005 Baffin Island expedition. Pete Dronkers (myself) and Ross Cowan are committed to a new route on a 3,000 foot unclimbed wall. Leaving during the last week of April and taking a full six weeks for the entire expedition -- allowing 5 days of travel on the way in and 5 on the way out will allow over 4 weeks of climbing for the route. Expedition leader Pete Dronkers has been on 3 expeditions, including one in the Canadian Arctic which was funded by the American Alpine Club and various equipment companies. We seek funding for this trip but have put a $3500 price tag on it per person in case we can't find funding. Ross and myself are very mellow, easy-going people and we climb safely every time we rope up. We seek to climb mostly A3 pitches with an occasional A4 picth if the fall is clean air. We will also seek one, possibly two additional base camp managers who can ski on the ice cap and shoot photos while we're on the wall and help us carry loads out of our valley and to our pickup location. For more information please call me at 775 348 8108.

DEAR PROSPECTIVE BAFFIN CLIMBERS - BURT BRONSON HERE. I VERY MUCH APPRECIATE YOUR INVITATION AND THE RECOMMENDATION OF SOME OF MY GOOD BRETHEREN; HOWEVER, I WILL BE UNABLE TO ACCOMODATE YOU ON THIS TRIP. SAFE A3 AND CLEAN FALL A4 CLIMBING IS NOT REALLY MY GAME. I'M A SERIOUS CLIMBER AND ONLY CLIMB THE SERIOUS LOOSE HAIRBALL STUFF. "A5 ALL THE WAY THIS KEEPS THE GIRLS AT BAY THAT'S WHAT THE SERIOUS CLIMBERS SAY". SINCERELY, BURT BRONSON - THE LAST BASTION OF THE SERIOUS HARDMAN
