it might be helpful if you specified which ski resort, as there are 3 or 4 in cali.

the main winter areas here are Joshua Tree, and Red Rocks in Vegas, with good fall/spring sport and bouldering to be found near Bishop. But like Tarzan420 said, it depends on where you are moving, it's a big state. Spring and fall seasons can be pretty good at many of the other areas here as well.

BISHOP. Bishop is the "gateway to mammoth." Work at Mammoth Mtn Resort and climb Bishop. You'll have the Buttermilks, Happies, Sads, Pollen Grains, Druids, Owens River Gorge (sport), Rock Creek, Little Egypt (trad) and I could go on. True, most of that is bouldering, but you have sport and trad options as well and as for as proximity to a ski resort, couldn't be beat. Have fun.

In reply to: it might be helpful if you specified which ski resort, as there are 3 or 4 in cali. I just noticed this... 3 or 4? Man there are probably close to 30. Lake Tahoe has the greatest concentration of resorts in a comparably sized area in the world. :D
