Onbelay007 and i will be up there doing the trad thing. i think he plans to arrive late on friday and stay through monday, while i will be in early friday leaving sunday.
i have no doubt its going to be waaaay crzy crowded, i'm going to try to be up before 10am on friday to hopefully score one of the few 'first come' campsites at ice age. wish me luck....
so, who's going and who's going to be climbing what? i'm thinking we gotta hit the cleo amp and porkchop on saturday then join the masses at the east bluffs on sunday.
just hollar out for tim and steve. i should be easily identifiable with a big rack of dmm's and camalots and my rope running below not above me :) if you see a campsite with a black focus sedan (tx plates, climbing stickers) and a MH lightwedge 3 tent stop by, we'll have beer 8^)

Sounds like fun, but I can't make it.
Actually, I just wanted to momentarily hijack the thread: If anyone wants to climb Wednsday or Thursday, I am looking for a belay. Please PM me.

Yeah, I'm going to Devil's Lake for the three day weekend. So, it looks like we have to lure potential climbers by offering them beer. Whatever it takes eh. Oh yeah, the weather is calling for a chance of rain but I still intend on climbing rain or shine.
Andrew, you must be getting ready for a month in Oregon. When you get back we'll hit some trad.

yeah!! the last several times I've gone all the popular climbs have been taken by the time I arrived.
West bluff sounds like a good idea - and I liked Porkchop the one time I was there. Would like to get back there. Weissner's wall too! Good stuff.
If you're worried about crowds, go to the areas near the Quarry. A bit more difficult to navigate, but I doubt you'll see anybody else there.
I hope to get up there this weekend, though I'll have to deal with bad traffic - Circus is goint to Baraboo on Saturday!!

i am going to be heading up on friday with some friends, most of whom have no clue what they're doing so it will be a very casual, easy climbing day. we'll probably just head up to the east ramparts but i don't think it will be too bad on friday, i think most people will be getting off on monday instead of friday, then again i could be wrong.

okay, i don't know how the site counts these things, but i was probably 3 of those views (now 4, +1 reply :-))
not sure if i'm going to climb this weekend or not. doing some stuff with family and generally "taking some time off of climbing" (reads as: climbing ~1-3 times per 2 weeks instead of 2-3 times per 1 week). was considering not climbing at all this weekend to avoid the crowd situation.
