Hey all you New Englanders!

I am on an Environmental Education (EE) mailing list and I just received this. I can't attend, but I thought some of you might be interested...

"Hello New England EE -

I want to let your members know about the 2002 Vermont Summer Land
Conservation Program - a series of short courses and workshops offered May
20 - June 22 in various locations throughout Vermont - for students,
professionals, and volunteers involved in land conservation. This year's
program explores "Knowledge of Place: The Art and Practice of Conservation
and Stewardship." This year's courses include:

Selecting & Designing Land Conservation Projects
Natural Landscape Inventory & Assessment
International Land Stewardship
Emerging Leaders: Philosophy & Skills for Conservation Professionals
Knowing Place: The Imagination, Drawing, & Collage
Writing a Way through the Woods
Conserving Vermont Landscapes: Analysis and Action

Complete course offerings and registration information are available at It is possible to arrange
graduate credit through the University of Vermont for 2-day courses.

Please contact me if you have any questions. I would appreciate knowing if
you are able to publicize this program in any way. Thanks.
