Wow! I lost two partners in one week. It wasn't my fault I swear. My one partner seriously sprained his ankle playing basketball, he'll be out of commission for a while. And my other partner, who's also my roomate, fell head over hells in love and he hasn't been seen since, no joke. The thing is I'm just getting really solid on some of my climbs and I hate to start to lose ability while I wait for my partners to come back. I'm a 21 year old girl who's been going to school in ottawa for two years. I usually climb with guys but I'd love to climb with girls because I feel like I don't progress as fast when I work with guys who use moves I could never try or copy. I've been climbing a year and a half both indoors and outdoors and I boulder in Gatineau park sometimes too. I'm hoping there's someone out there to save me.

when i started climbing, i had some funny luck too....first weekend in squamish, my mentor takes a epic trad lead fall, injures himself seriously, then the truck gets broken into and all the gear is stolen as monty python said, "...but always look on the bright side of life" "....even though, you're in the sh*t...."

Wow, and the truck got broken into too. Talk about insult to injury. If we were talking about mountain biking I could one up you on the bad luck story, but I haven't had your kind of bad luck rock climbing.

Hey Pierre, that sounds pretty good to me, I work, but not on the weekends much. My belaying is solid, and I have belayed trad climbing before, although I'm much more comfortable with the idea of cleaning a pitch then I would be setting one maybe, anyhow, I hope to hear back from you. It'd be nice to arrange something.

Alice, where do you go bouldering in the Gats? I was up around The Shrine this past Saturday (am) doing some solo bouldering. Sucked as I couldn't try a lot of routes without a spotter and probably another pad. I actually took a fall on Bozo (ended up sending it on the next attempt), rolled off the back of my pad and into some rocks - nasty scrap. My regular climbing partners tend to wander off to the cottage on the weekend so I'm often left without a partner. PM me if you to hook up for some bouldering sometime.

Alice, I currently have lots of time on my hands a few partners. I mainly climb outside (but I have been spotted in the gym from time to time). I have a car and too much gear. Send me a PM if you need a partner for boldering an climbing.

It sucks losing your partner for sure, as Steph broke her ankle two weeks ago on our BC trip at the Chief. What grades are you climbing at? I've been trying to stick to trad if intreseted let me know.
