I will be in Jackson Hole skiing this winter and I was wondering if there was any ice to be had in the area. I do know of Cody but just wondering if there was anything closer to Jackson.....

Not tons of waterfall ice in the Jackson Hole area. There's some fun stuff in Death Canyon, though the approach has some objective hazard if the snowpack is funky. On the Driggs side of the pass, Teton Canyon has some fair-mediocre ice. There's some so-so ice outside of Duboise as well. Anybody know of more? I've always thought there HAD to be more local waterfall climbing than this lame list... If not, Cody and Utah might be your best bets. -Nubbler

Once you move here and connect with a few local ice climbers (of which there are few), you'll learn that there's a lot more to Jackson ice than meets the eye. I'm not about to divulge the secret online, but PM me and I'll give you some info.
