I will be staying in Hot Springs, but i will have a car... willing to drive 2-3 hours if necessary. Looking to sample some Arkansas rock... anything good. I lead 5.9 on Western granite, and some 5.10a.... trad, sport, just no aid. PM me, if you're interested in showing me some good crags. Zach

yo Zach, just head to horseshoe canyon and you can find a partner. what sort of climbing are you looking for? it's a bit warm for the hard stuff right now. about all i've been doing is drinking and swimming and drinking. regards, kerry

I'd be happy to show you Chenal Mtn. Thursday night or Saturday is fine. Horseshoe Canyon is infinetly better climbing, but Chenal is only about an hour and a half from Hot springs. The jackfork sandstone is nice at Chenal though, completely bomber while being real easy on the hands. Chenal has one nice 5.7+/5.8-, and the everything is pretty much 5.10 and up. There are about 16 sport routes, all around 30 feet, and most are overhung. Lumberjack is probably the best route there and is around 5.10b, but once you have the moves down feels a little more like a 5.9 from the local gym. Anyway feel free to PM me if intrested. Chenal is far from Arkansas's best climbing, but its close to where you're staying. Kaylin
