So, one of my local outdoors stores is going out of business and has all of thier tents 40% off. The only two four season tents they have left are a Marmot Fortress and Sierra Designs Hercules AST. So, if anyone out there has owned either of these tents, I would very much appreciate your input.
I plan on using them for general winter backpacking/camping in my Rocky Mountain backyard. I also have the best of intentions of start to do some mountaineering in the next winter or two, so would like to know if they will perform well subjected to winters here in colorado (and probably a bit up in the pacific northwest.)
Any knownledge you have would be very much appreciated, but please share fast because I will probably have to make a choice tomorrow or sunday at the latest.
