You are either on an alpine route or a doing a multi-pitch and a team comes up from behind and wants to climb ahead. Since the team came up so fast you agree thinking that they will make short work of the the final pitch, but after you have switched around to let them go ahead they ask for beta, then it comes out that their summit lust has taken over their rationality and you and your partner will have to wait longer and may have to summit too late or abandon it all together. Irrationality is a symptom of Hypoxia and could cause summit fever, and if you run across a person like this do you let them go on or try to convince them to turn around?

if you don't talk to them about it you could very well be involved in the rescue should something go wrong, since you are already there... dunno - tough call...you can't tell them what to do, but you can offer to help. summit fever does weird things...
