"A" frame plan?

Hey all,

Long time viewer, first time poster.

I was recently on the ethosclimbing website and it seems that they had plans for an "A" frame set up. Unfortunately the link leads to a broken page. After receiving several threats from "tree huggers" on our slackline set ups (we even use tree huggers, cushions, whatever what you want to call them, cardboard mainly), we decided to go with an A frame set up.

Would anyone have the pdf that the ethosclimbing site leads to? Or instructions of their own for an A frame set up?

Thanks in advance all!

Here's one that has a basic examples:

Here's another that just has photos of an a-frame setup:

Tree hugger wise, as long as you take a few steps to pad the line and choose trees that are large enough and strong enough you should not harm the tree even over longer periods of time.

My university had their grounds department which includes 4 arborists on staff approve it and even our local seirra club president slacklines with me.

Get two 2x4s per A frame. Nail them together at a 45 degree angle. Get 4 2' J stakes (rebar). Pound them into the ground. Anchor the A frames to the J stakes.

areyoumydude has the simple answer, simple is key in most rigging situations, but PLEASE do not use nails, your A-Frame will fail. At the minimum use screws, but bettter yet use a thru-bolt, washers and lock nuts.

Best of luck!
