I will be in England for 2 weeks starting this Friday and will be in Devon, Lake Distict and North Wales. Looking for some recommendations for some cheap guides, unless some one wants a yank partner for a day :) I will be traveling with my normal partner but she is 6 months pregnant and can't climb or belay :cry: Anyway, if you have some recomendations for guides in those areas or want to climb lety me know. I lead trad up to 5.7-5.8, and sport up to 5.10 (don't know the conversion to your grades)Thanks,

I have known and worked with both for over 20 years and can tell you they are probably the most people oriented, capable, safe and knowledgeable guides out there. They both live in Snowdonia but have extensive experince of everywhere you would ever want to go.

Bit late but I agree with the comments about Phil & Alan. Also try John Evans at http://www.dgi.uk.com/. Spends half the year on Denali.
