I am extremely shocked by the lack of support for the Access Fund in western Montana. This is a regional organization and yet nobody even seems to know that they exist. I've just returned to the mtn. west after living in the East Coast for two years and expected much greater Access Fund support here than the East Coast but that seems to be the exact opposite. In Missoula alone there are four stores(that I know of) and two climbing gyms that receive revenue from climbers and yet not one of them is sponsoring an Adopt-A-Crag day. However, both REI and Trailhead Sports are either corporate or community partners. Because our activities are constantly under scrutiny, as one of the many user-groups of both public and private lands, we need to represent our sport as responsible users. Hopefully, my observations are incorrect and I'd appreciate being corrected if they are. If not, we need to come together and protect what we have before it gets taken from us. Rochelle
