My BD Bullet Pack is perhaps the most used piece of gear I own. I use it for climbing and hiking quite a bit, but I also use it for quick trips to campus, as a carry-on, and about a million other things. It's perfect for when you just have a few things you need to carry, like a notebook and an extra layer. Anyone else do this? Anyone else get heckled mercilessly by their friends for carrying a man-purse? I gotta admit, it does look a lot like one of those "over the shoulder" bags. (Just in case you have no sense of humor:  )

The bullet pack is Killer. Verry rugged and climbs very well. I would however like the same style and capacity in an ultra light fabric for hard climbs. also an ultra light fabric would compress better for stuffing the bullit into a bigger pack. i saw a frency last winter on Extensive Homology5+ His pack looked like an ultra light stuff sack. perfect for the belay jacket and spare gloves

Just purchased my second bullet pack today. Nice improvement over my original one. One of my complaints on the original one was no bladder sleeve and tube port..BD has addressed that. Also, the sewn daisy across the top was replaced by a handle. I had totally ragged the old one out..and look forward to starting on the new one. Have to say, I have never gotten any "man purse" comments.

I use my camelback snowbound for everything, except for carrying a water bladder . . . use the bladder pocket for a guidebook and the rest for either gear or school stuff. Carry nalgenes ever since the old bladder emptied all down my ass and legs on an approach a year ago. Just scored a free one at the Narrows adopt-a-crag too . . . gotta love it. How bout a fanny pack for cordolette/anchor webbing on trad leads? I've been seein' nylon bags but I don't fancy the swinginess of 'em. but anyway, you don't actually use yours for bullets? good.

I use the removable lid from an old REI Great Star, with a piece of webbing as the single shoulder strap. Nobody ever mistakes it for a purse.
