Hey, did a forum search and nothing came up so I figured i'd try a post. I did J-tree last year and had a blast especially doing a multi-pitch. I'm from Florida and visit only for a short time, so I don't know too much about the area. But I was wondering if anyone knew of any good multi-pitches in the park that they could give me some info on. I have a J-tree book but obviously it's as huge as the park itself and I havent been able to go through it page by page. I climbed a really weird four pitch offwidth last time at sheep's pass. I think it's called Orange flake? not to sure, but other than that stuff at the pass I didnt know if there were anymore. Anyway thanks for your input I'd greatly appreciate it.

In addition to ArtM's great list, there are a couple on the Comic Book formation, and Mental Physics is nominally a multipitch route, though most just do the first pitch.

Don't forget Walk on the Wild Side near Hall of Horrors and other multipitch climbs on that formation!

OK, I'll bite. While the majority of the routes at Josh are single pitch affairs (and some short at that), there are actually quite a few 2 pitch routes in the Park. The list of 3 or 4 pitch climbs (4 pitches is as long as it gets) is pretty short.

In fact, you need look no further than Intersection Rock, right next to Hidden Valley Campground if you are looking for 2 pitch climbs (there are 15 two pitch routes and one 3 pitch route).

There are, in fact enough 2 pitch routes in the Park that you should be a bit more specific on difficulty and type of climb you are seeking, to narrow down the answers.

Rather than just seeking multi-pitch routes to do (this is not really what you go to Josh for anyway); perhaps you should look for quality routes of a type and rating.

I always tell people to get away from the crowds and explore some crags that are somewhat off the beaten track. You'll have a blast and really get a feel for area.
