Which one is more protected in a storm? Planning a winter ascent of one of them. Z.M. looks like it might be rougher in bad weather near the top but whatever.

Some friends of mine were near the rim on zm when major foottage dumped on the Valley floor back in the 80's, we were standing in the meadow looking at them when the rangers showed up with bullhorns because their moms were calling the NPS and were worried, they were bivied under an overhang and said it was no big deal

Well, you'd have better luck posting on Supertopo because one of the few people whom has climbed both routes and is willing to freely give away beta has been banished from this site by same the neo-conservative, Bible-thumping, tight-ass dickheads that are trying to turn this country into even more of a police state than it already is. Best of luck.

In the future, if you want to write dickheads, just insert a little html in the middle of the word. For example:

Ammon has done both. Although Ammons beta is more like GO FOR IT BRO {insert howling monkey noises} :) They are pretty close to each other probly not much different. Need a partner jake? I'd love to do that with ya.

Yeah, I think it was Ammon who told me he soloed those routes in winter storms. Probably do the Straw cause it gets easy once you hit Zodiac and will speed things up.

I split this off of the ZM vs. Shortest Straw thread in the Aid Forum. If we are to have a word filter, it makes no sense to publicize ways to circumvent it. Does this warrant a warning?

Yes, a warning. Then if he doesn't heed the warning, follow the new rules as Michael outlined. megableem wants to play with fire, then he's gonna get burned.

I concur, follow the new rules and don`t put up with the schmucks being a pain. Look at the stats, the most users ever on line happened on the 6th of October 2004. If we are to grow and not chase away the new users who will help this site grow then we need to weed out the pests. Check my sig for my opinion on drama queens.

One of the outstanding answers to the survey on the front page has been get rid of the flaming and trolling and make people be civilized. Thought you guys might be interested in that one.

And we shall make it so. Low to zero tolerance for the drama queens. They know who they are. Civility will rule.
