Which harness do you like best and why?

I have been looking around and the blckdimond chaos rocks my universe. It is uber comfortable but cost some uber bling bling ($85).

I don't see any problem with shelling out $85 for a harness. Look around try them all on then buy the one that fits the best and makes you happy. Make sure you decided what featurs you want on your harness too. It makes a huge differance in what harnesses you are looking at. I have a Misty Quantum harness. It cost me around $85. I love it and it is so much better then my old one. That being said my friend has a BD bod harness (one of the cheapest harnesses avalable) that he loves. Buy what makes you happy.

bmgard makes a good point! If you're serious about climbing, get the harness that fits you best and is most comfortable to you. Don't worry who makes it, or how much it costs.

That said, a harness is definately an investment and you'll most likely have it for a few years. Try on every one you can find and go with what's most comfortable.

If you think you like the Chaos now, try the Metolius 3D models, they have adjustable rises and are very comfy if you get it adjusted right. By all means, try the Petzls. They are designed a bit differently but make a great harness. Try the Misty's, they have lots of padding. Try as many as you can find before plopping down your uber $$$!!!

cragstar - so are you gonna actually tell us the name/brand of your comfortable yet cheap harness???

Anyways, like most people have said, the most important thing is to try the harnesses on and find the one that gives you the best comfort/money ratio. Personally I got a Petzl Calidris and love it.
