Has anyone got their hands on the Trango Cinch? How does it compare to a Gri-Gri?

I've heard lighter, cheaper, and it works better. My friend did testing on prototypes.

does this mean the price of gri-gri's will go down to stay competitive, or they will both stay around $70? i'm guessing the later :(

We got a free one to try out at the gym. Lighter, yes but not by much. Cheaper, definitely but also not by that much. Easier to use, it takes a bit to get used to but no more so than the gri-gri. Over all it's a good thing if for no other reason than to get Petzl to compete against it and rework the gri-gri. I'm used to the gri-gri, it works for me, so until mine wears out I'm sticking with it. I do very much like the option of choices when that day comes.
