Last I heard (which was over the summer) Watchung Reservation is off limits to climbing. I thought that NJ didnt allow climbing to begin with... did that change or was I just wrong about that?

There is definately not a state wide climbing ban in NJ. Look at Delaware Water Gap and Allamuchy for starters. Thanks for the update on Watchung.

climbing maybe not allowed at watchung but it's not posted as of this past weekend. climbing is now legal in NJ state parks and forests. climbers have to sign a yearly wavier available in any nj state park office. see: www.climbnj.com we are working on county level issues: 1) hunterdon 2) morris 3) union 4) private lands contact john anderson at climbnj@climbnj.com
