Curt, that's extremely awesome. Great gift. Too bad a day of cragging entails 2500 miles of travel. The Gunks rock. My gift was a new shell and carpet kit for my Tacoma.

What did I get? Enough grief and angst from a dysfunctional family that will eventually serve to give me the energy to climb harder than ever.

So far I'm up to a #2 Metolius Power cam. It was the missing piece...i now have two full sets of cams. :D Time will tell in the morning....I'm thinking it looks like more parts for the Jeep than climbing toys. (My parents know i am so particular with my gear they usually just give me the gift certificates)

Couple of books, some biners, ATC, Bluewater Eliminator, and other misc stuff. Just getting back into climbing so it was a very good christmas. Unfortunately won't get to use it much for a few months, I'm in Alaska and it's currently -30 outside. Have a Merry Christmas and and very safe New Year. Charles

A little compact spice kit (for camp cooking), some Burt's Bee lotions (for them dry and cracked hands), the latest edition of Mountaineering: Freedom of the Hills (for playing the armchair climber), and the Rampage bouldering porn (for those sleepless nights). Not as lavish as what some of you got, but it's the thought that counts. What I secretly wished for was a beautiful climber girl carrying two suitcases full of $100 bills, but I think that might be a tad more than what Santa was able to handle.

Nothing  Family is in another country where there is no christmas celebration. We dont do gifts with friends since we are all fairly broke (graduate students and all...) Boyfriend dumped me awhile ago so no gifts from there, either... I got myself a marmot driclime windshirt but that doesnt count. It is not fun when you get it for yourself....
