Stu, would you like to know what's on my winamp playlist? How about some Insane Clown Posse? Far more obscene and off the wall than Eminem could ever dream of, and personally, they have much better lyrics; laugh out loud hilarious. If you want, I could recite a bunch of lyrics to some older Snoop songs; now that man is a brilliant lyricist.

ICP? excuse me but ICP gets their asses kicked by Eminem weekly. everytime ICP goes after Em they get shut down like a little shrimp playing basketball against Shaq. Em is a powerhouse when it comes to white rappers. Kid rock, vanilla ice, ICP, are nothing without him. he is the gas in every white rapper's (or what to be white rapper's) tank. he insults ppl n LOVES the reaction. that is the point he is making: EVERYONE IS TOO GOD DAMN SENSITIVE ABOUT LIFE. CALM DOWN...LIVE A LITTLE...AND HAVE SOME FUN. he is that way for those of you that can't stop being serious about Osama or killing people. he is just trying to lighten the situtation a little bit. geez give the man a break. he is doing what he loves for our benefit!

Em is a good guy. It's just that too not~cool wannabe pop diva stars tried to get rid of him. They overreacted to his lyrics. And many of the things his songs are about things that really happened and do happen. So what wrong with that? FaWn LeMaY

There is one large problem with those in the popular spotlight. Their influence on those whom are easily inlfuenced; youth. There is a lyric in one of Eminem's songs that goes along the lines of "there's a million others who act like me, who talk like me, who just give a f--- like me." Here's the problem this creates; everyone of those other million people will not be able to capitalize off this lifestyle. Eminem will make money, but those million kids will become uneducated illiterate morons with little hope of accomplishing anything. The stars present a lifestyle that includes deviant behavior, but they're allowed the luxury of "not giving a f---" because they have the monitary foundation to do so. 99.999% of the listeners do not. Do I blame these "artists" for the problems? No, but they're certainly not helping it at all. On another issue, what is the theme most rappers are rapping about today? Fast cars and fast women. That's it. Nothing new, nothing ground breaking, every song has the same bullshit in it. And eminem is only rapping about how he pisses people off and they get all upset blah blah blah. Same boring crap. I saw a new video of his, he's all batman and robin with Dr. Dre, nice beat and all, but the lyrics are tired. How many times do I need to hear about your need to swear in your raps and everyone needs to shut up? I think one time is enough. Lack of originality, dogg.

Ooz...dude you f*ckin rock man. gotta support compclimber and rrradam also. I haven't listened to rap for about 10 years, don't really care for most of it. However, Eminem is a genius, whether you like his music or not. If you've ever actually listened to one of his cds, and put thought into the lyrics and why he wrote the songs, they're great. He puts alot of effort into his lyrics and public image and makes millions more than most of us. He even gets the people who don't even like his music to buy his cds. He should be respected for that, not put down because you can't comprehend why he does what he does. n8

The only reason eminem has had more controversy over his lyrics then some of the bands that sing tose lyrics is because there is basicly no music just a repititive computer produced beat on his songs were bands have instuments that takes peoples minds off the words. Also in Ramstiens case there in german. Therefore people can hear words clearer and went he's saying naughty words. He isn't doing anything that is new he is just rehasing other peoples ideas but without the music. As it has been done from the begining of music.

personally, i think that eminem is great. his lyrics are meant to get a rise out of people, and he does that effectivly. he doesn't seem to take himself seriously and you have to respect that. the lyrics are funny no matter how much you deny it. i like all kind of music, everything from eminem, n'sync, moby, 2pac, weezer, dashboard confessional, and enya. opinions mean nothing. your allowed yours im allowed mine

Chris: If kids are going out and killing each other, raping girls, and doing drugs... do you really think it was eminem's lyrics that made them? f--- no... they had that idea a long time ago. If we're going to blame someone/somthing for a person being killed why are we not blaming the media? Surely these kids have seen more violence and sorrow on the news then they have heard in a song. A better question is: why do we have to have someone/something to blame? Can't someone be a non-functioning-f---ed-up-member-of-society? Can they be that person without a musical influence? SURELY If you don't know this about me, I have connections to people that either lost a life, or were injured at Columbine Highschool on April 20th 1999... This is a poem/rant I wrote shortly thereafter. It is Directed towards the media, or in this case, people like jono and pianomahnn. You say it's dangerous, It's at fault, When in truth you don't understand it, Didn't you learn not to judge what you don't know? It's not the video games, It's not the movies, It's not the music. Can't two kids be screwed up? Can't they be dip shits? Who don't care about other people; Can they? What if this desensitization we talk of was actually our fault? When we try to blame this on music, or movies are we truly desensitizing ourselves? We do not allow the thought to cross our minds that it could be our fault, It is "their" fault, "they" caused it, What if we don't know who "they" are? When you find out there is no "they" who will you blame? Yourself ? Surely not, You will find another loop hole, Another easy target, Maybe race, or religion, or lack of education. Lets stop denying ourselves, Stop killing creativity with reason, Stop the hypocrisy , Think for yourself.

Quote: If we're going to blame someone/somthing for a person being killed why are we not blaming the media? MTV is the media and they play his music. Therefor he becomes part of the media. So even if I did blame him, which I dont, I wouldn't be wrong in doing so according to your logic. If you read what I had written, I didn't place the blame on him. What I wrote: Quote: Do I blame these "artists" for the problems? No, but they're certainly not helping it at all. Quote: A better question is: why do we have to have someone/something to blame? Can't someone be a non-functioning-f---ed-up-member-of-society? Can they be that person without a musical influence? Most people are not born as a non-functioning f---ed up member of society. Their actions, beliefs, morals, etc. are all instilled in them from parents, friends, associates, and anything else they view that has some influence upon them. A lot of children in this country seem to have a very poor positive support base, and therefor rely on other forms of guidance (music, athletes, etc). The blame from me is directed entirly to the parents. Granted the parents are not the ones rapping about capping asses and f---ing hoes, or any other less than dinner-table verbage, but they allow that to influence their children; therefor failing. In regards to your poem, am I not correct in saying that those two killers left a message that referenced their parents lack of involvment in their lives? I'd bet had the parents of Eric Harris and Dillon Kleibold(sp) been involved in their lives this wouldn't have happened. They weren't just born screwed up. It all revolves around outside stimuli. You would be an entirly different person depending where you are brought up, who raises you, how much money you have, etc. That's how things other than the individual person can be blamed. Shall I write some more? Because I can if you want me to.

Personally, I like some of EM's songs... Like Stanly. But the Music viedo is scary... the poor little brother never gets the Em's signature and his brother dies. I like his new one Follow Me. (IT'S ON RADIO!) And it's true!

Jono, Have you thought that maybe you have a problem and are just using eminem as an excuse? It seems like you have a lot of hostility burning inside. Are you having a tough time with the girls? Maybe it's just puberty in general. Hey man, don't take any offense at that, i was just bored an needed to f*ck around a bit. n8

So I was listening to Mancow on the radio before work a few days ago and the new Eminem song comes on... My dad walks in the kitche and asks me what I think of it, I said it is the same as all of his other crap and he is a whiney bitch, my dad responded with "I like it." *sigh* I must admit, the musical portion of that song is good, my foot taps to the mad beat, but the lyrics are the same as any of his other crap.
