WELL, I’VE BEEN GETTING A LOT OF EMAILS FROM FOLKS WHO HAVE BEEN INQUIRING WHAT TIME THE FIRST C3 AT VERTICAL HOLD – SAN DIEGO, CA. THE SCHEDULE OF THE FIRST C3 IS AS FOLLOWS:
DATE: JANUARY 15, 2005
LOCATION: VERTICAL HOLD – SAN DIEGO, CA.
7:30AM TO 8:45AM COMPETITOR CHECK-IN & REGISTRATION FOR THE OPEN & KIDS DIVISION.
8:45AM – 9AM COMPETITOR DEBRIEFING
9AM – 1PM OPEN & KIDS DIVISION (onsight)
11AM – 12PM ELITE DIVISION CHECK IN & REGISTRATION
12:45PM – 1PM ELITE DIVISION DEBRIEFING
1PM – 2PM LUNCH
2PM – 6PM ELITE DIVISION (onsight)
6:30PM – 7PM PRIZES CEREMONY
EACH COMPETITOR WILL RECEIVE A FREE MEAL & DRINK TICKET FOR AN AMAZING PLATE OF “ABBY’S REAL TEXAS BBQ”!!! THERE ARE RUMORS OF A KEG OF SIERRA NEVADA PALE ALE. IF YOU WANT TO SUGGEST A BEER OF YOUR CHOICE THERE IS STILL TIME TO VOICE YOUR CHOICE… JUST EMAIL MIKEY@C3SERIES.COM!!!
MONSTER ENERGY DRINK WILL BE SUPPLYING THE FREE “FUEL” FOR ALL COMPETITORS!!! TRY THE “REGULAR” OCTANE OR THE NEW “LOW CARB” OCTANE!
ALL COMPETITORS WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO VOTE ON WHICH HANDHOLD COMPANY SUPPLIED THE BEST HANDHOLDS FOR THE ENTIRE C3 SERIES. THE HANDHOLD COMPANY THAT WINS THE MOST VOTES WILL BE PRESENTED A TROPHY AT THE C3 FINALS/”FEAST OF THE GODS” FESTIVAL.
ALSO THERE WILL BE AMAZING SWAG AND PRODUCTS BEING RAFFLED OFF THROUGHOUT THE DAY FOR ALL WHO ATTEND!!

Well... we weren't sure whether or not to wait until the awards ceremony to let you all know what the prizes would be for the 1st Comp in the C3 Series, but after recieving emails inquiring what they would be... we decided to confer with the C3 Mascot/Australian Sheppard and all around good guy, "Nathan". His response was... "Let 'em know". So here ya have it...
ELITE DIVISION (Men & Women)
1st Place - The North Face Boulder Base 2/3 person, 3 season tent!!
2nd Place - Beale Climbing Ropes!!
3rd Place - MSR Whisperlite Stove
OPEN DIVISION (Men & Women)
1st Place - - The North Face Goliath Sleeping Bag (0 degrees)
2nd Place - Metolius Crash Pad
3rd Place - Black Diamond Headlamp
KIDS 14 & UNDER DIVISION
1st Place - Mad Rock Shoe Certificate
2nd Place - Metolius Rock Rings
3rd Place - Black Diamond Headlamp
Also be sure to be part of a day long raffling session that the C3 will be tossing out some KILLER "stuff" not just to the competitors but for the public as well!!
More KILLER PRIZES & SWAG at the 2nd C3 Comp to be held on March 12, 2005 at Beach City Rocks - Hawthorne, Ca.!!!
