I don't understand how to rig a regular adjustable daisy and aider setup but I just purchase a YATES model and they are a little different.

Wish I could be there to see your face the first time you put weight on that.

Probably a good idea editing your original post. I would edit it again and remove "I understand how to rig a regular adjustable daisy".

Better, but not much. How about this? "How do you rig an adjustable daisy?"

Just for fun, here's the original:
In reply to: I understand how to rig a regular adjustable daisy and aider setup but I just purchase a YATES model and they are a little different. In the picture below ( # 1 ) is the clip-in loop at the top of the adjustable camming buckle ( # 2 ). My question is, are folks using the ring for clipping in to their harness ( # 4 ) and pulling themselves up or staying on tension in their top steps? And if so, what good is the looped end ( # 3 ) for girth hitching to the harness? If you take a daisy fall you will be held by end # 4 and so to me the looped end # 3 is completely useless. Any thoughts on how you rig your Yates setup would be greatly appreciated. The extra end loop looks a little redundant to me. http://img.photobucket.com/...0/polarbob/yates.jpg Personally, I would just ask. Look at all that shiny new stuff!

Hey Amigo, Girth hitch #3 to your harness. Pull on the ring on #4 to tighten the daisy up. Enjoy! john

uhh -- yeah .. what johnhenry said .. you got it backwards .. the loop is to be hitched to your harness .. the ring side is the one you pull -- ricardo

Steepahead -- please confirm that the picture posted is an accurate representation of how you have been setting up you adjustable daisey set up. Is this how you've had it rigged? Ed
