I'll be in the Boone area for about a week starting around the 11th of march. i know this is sort of a long ways off, so basically i'm just looking for guys who have a weekday or two free. I'm really psyched to check out any of the trad areas closest boone. i can bring my own rope, rack, etc... but have no means of transport while i'm out there. i can lead 5.10 trad, 5.11 sport, and follow through .11+ anything. if anyone's interested, send me a PM.

I might be game for that first weekend. Where are you visiting? In Boone or just in the area?

Around Boone-

If you don't end up w/a trad partner, you might wanna think about bringing your bouldering pad, b/c if its not soaking wet (as spring might very well be), Boone has awesome bouldering.

Close by trad areas: check out Ship Rock (could be chilly in March!) for some sweet trad climbing, from easy and airy 5.7's and 5.8's to some really hard scarey stuff, but all with a great view!

Good luck! Have a great time in NC!

If the weather is good, I'll probably try to head out that way. Post again, or pm me closer to that time.

I'll be staying in Boone at the university w/ my girlfriend, and unfortunately won't have my own means of transportation.

BUMP: The exact dates of the trip are the 3/14-3/19, basically monday through saturday of that week. I'll pay for gas to the crags and I can bring all of my own gear.
