Well im getting a new pair of shoes in a few weeks but im wondering what people do to their old shoes before they get a new pair ? I had a little fun with some ink and turned my shoes into what i hope ( Could turn into a new color for Evolv ) Anyway i would love to see what people have done to their shoes... And i mean pictures. Lets see them ?

so the question posed is: "what do people do with their old shoes?"
er.. uh.. how about a high quality resole to breath new life into perfectly good shoes... wow i wish i had the means to buy a new pair of shoes every time i got a hole .
and dude , you didn't even stay in the lines in the "evolv"...

repair them???...i thought thats what people do.....a dude i use to boulder with had unspeakable amounts of sports tape on his testarossa's......worked better than any shoe he says..

First they arnt Kaos shoes. They are the Athena's. Well i get a pro-deal through my gym so shoes are like $40 insted of $90+

Genius, I own the Kaos. What I said was there was no way I would make my kaos that hideous.
And, in case you didn't know, Evolv does offer a damn good discount on resoling their shoes if you've bought a pair. Check out their site here for more details.
I also second the sloppy coloring job. You failed at color by number in kindergarten didn't you? :P
Edited to add: Dude, you do realize that the Athena is a women's shoe right? You sure got the Gumby part right...

Yeah, those shoes aren't old.... those are still perfect. I'll go ahead and put a picture up of my Mad rocks (that I still use as warmup shoes) when I get a chance. Now THOSE things are dead!

Yes i know they are a Womens shoe that is why i bought them. My feet are narrow and normal shoes made for guys are just SO wide i swim in them, that is why i got these. Hey some women have Fat feet and buy mens shoes, i dont see a problem with that, but it looks like you do.
And do you even remember kindergarden ? I dont. My coloring is fine, it was night i was closing and it was a big sharpy. I think next im going to get some real dye and make it look profesional. Hey if you dont like it, get off my F*@king back about it, they are my shoes.

Did you even try the Kaos on? I have the narrowest feet of anyone I know, and the Kaos fit me PERFECTLY.
Actually, I do remember kindergarten, at least parts of it. A guy named Fletcher bit the teacher one day. My teacher's names were Mona and Sally. In regards to your excuses about sloppily coloring, sharpies, no matter how large, have an edge you can use for detail work.
For the love of God, and I hope you have noticed everyone's reaction to the coloring job's hideousness, don't try to tell evolv that it looks good or that anyone likes it.
Get them resoled. Call Brian, he will hook you up. If you like them, don't be a gumby and waste a great pair of shoes. Oh wait...

Hey, I've got a pair of katanas that I've resoled once already. They're getting rather beat, but yes, I also have added a tiny bit of decoration, just a lizard the toe of each shoe. Anyhow, I do second the rather sloppy coloring, and I personally don't like how they look, but that's MY opinion. I do, however, side with the original poster. Stop giving him so much guff about the design etc, who cares whether he likes it or not. No need to get up in arms about someone's coloring skills, let alone eprsonal insults due to them. Also, if he can get a new pair for $40, that is almost equal to a resole, if not less. Therefore, he's got a new pair of shoes, and a gym pair. Look on the brighter side of things.

What could possibly be wrong with those shoes to make you think you need a new pair...did you kick holes into the toes while flashing 5 out of 8 routes in your first comp in which you scored 180000 points?

I tried the Kaos's on like a size 7.5 and they were first super tight but even that shoe was a little wide on me. So its person pref.
Well the sides are cracked, rubber is torn off, the front leather is coming off and the edges are rounded. I think the size was a little big so i getting a 1/2 smaller and that should do the trick.
The color was as i said with a pen. Im sure if Evolv made them, they would have red leather insted of coloring them like i did.
I just wanted to show you RC.com what i did to my shoes, but guess some guys just like to piss on my fire, b/c they have nothing else to do, or they cant draw or a better job.

Well i got bored with my new pair of shoes that i got from Evolv, same kind as before but insted of going red or blue i went a little different. And i did a much better job on my new shoes. They look hot. I'll tell you the first letter of the color is "P"

umm, why so much vitriol? This seemed a pretty innocuos thread but everyone's so angry about some dude colouring his shoes.
Is it jealousy that he has a pro deal? So much anger, so little reason. Sounds like insecurity to me.
