Walk the Line, The Art of Balance and Craft of Slackline by Scott Balcom is finally here! This book has lots of good info and lots of great slackline pictures. Walk the Line is the culmination of over twenty years of slackline experience. It starts with very basic stuff and moves to the more advanced, explaining the ellington, the slacker-hitch, A-frames, dirt anchors, the Slack-Jack and Slack-Dog and many more things that are not very widely understood. It covers many slackline skills and there is a section on highline but it is not a step by step explaination but rather a cationary tale and some guiding principles. Walk the Line clarifies alot of things about balance itself that I believe are not very well understood. Once you understand everything in this book you will have no trouble understanding the stuff that is not in the book, as it will give you the knowledge to expand on these things. (For example, Walk the Line does not explain soft-pointing but does explain the slacker-hitch which is the key to soft-pointing and the best tension release knot for slackline.) Walk the Line, the Art of Balance and Craft of Slackline is now availible at slackline.net and slackdaddytools.com This is a new website with two addresses, check it out.

:) just got the book in the mail today. read it all the way through. pretty interesting reading, plenty of set up methods, great how tos for beginners, although most of it I had learned on my own, and some neat tricks I hadn't really thought of.
