First time I went to the local climbing gym to learn to belay was July 4, 2002. I had wasted a day watching a Law and Order marathon and decided it was as good a day as any to try \"this climbing thing.\" The next day, my hands were so sore and cramped, I couldn\'t squeeze my shampoo bottle, and I was hooked.
I spent nearly a year in the gym before I finally made it outside. I\'ve been to Vedauwoo, WY, but mainly I climb at Pilot Mtn, NC, Moore\'s wall NC, and -- my favorite -- Seneca Rocks, WV.
