I live in Grand Junction so I climb in the National Monument a lot. This book has detailed descriptions of practically every route there. The pictures are ok, good enough so that you can find your way around. If you are going to be climbing on the Monument a lot it is a good book to have. There is also a solid 200 pages of other desert climbing that I havn't gotten to. So, basically if you are desert climbing in the western slope, this is a good book to have.
