I think MSRmakes the best snow shoes out there, the tails give you alot of flexibility which you usually don't get with snow shoes, and the rails on the underside of the shoe give you alot of stability. I think the models with the heel lifter might be nice when going up hill, but I love my classics.

I like the snowshoes, and the tails are a great feature. Not the best for the biggest pow days, but otherwise, solid.

Cheers,

These are excellent snowshoes, even though they look like they are junk. The binding system is the fastest and best out there. I have rented at least four different brands, and these shoes are the best by far. I have used them for tours and mountaineering. They are a bit cumbersome on powdery steep terrain, but I'm not sure that other shoes would function any better.

Great snowshoes, wonderful traction and comfortable to walk in. work well up hill and with the additional tails have really good flotation on deep, powdery snow.
