Description

A 100% natural cleaner for performance and leisure flip-flops and sandals. Paxton's Sandal Saver (TM) powerfully cleans and restores leather and rubber sandals by removing odor causing dirt and bacteria. This stuff works! Spray it on, let it sit 10 seconds and wipe clean with a paper towel. It is that easy.

This stuff totally removed the odor from my Mad Rocks as well as my Keens. Most impressive was the recovery of a pair of Merrell sandals that I had all but given up on. Overnight soaks in detergent and soapy scrubs with a coarse brush failed to keep odor away for more than an hour of wear. After a good Paxton scrub I was able to get several weeks of odor free scrambling. I would recommend getting your sandals or rock shoes as clean as you can first; while this is a decent cleaner its great strength lies in its ability to kill the bacteria behind the hoof stink.

It works to remove grime and odor from chacos and climbing shoes. Initially this product will leave the shoes with a fairly strong smell (not necessarily unpleasant), but after a while it goes away, and so does the odor. Needs to re-apply every couple of months or so, sooner if you use your shoes more frequently.

I bought this off of maculated's recommendation, and it's great! worked well on my chacos and my rock shoes used to stink, but not anymore! (though after 3 weeks I think it's time to clean 'em again)

When I was perusing the booths at the OutdoorRetailer show in Salt Lake City an extremely boisterous man stopped my friend and me and handed us samples of his product, asking us if we wanted cleaner Chacos.

Well, certainly we did, so we gratefully accepted the samples.

After a month in Yosemite's Camp 4, my Chacos were getting a bit stinky and slimy. I periodically brought them into the shower, but a month after leaving, wearing them left me smelling a little less than ideal when I removed them, even with the open-foot format of a sport sandal.

Dutifully I followed the directions and sprayed the goods on there. I allowed the spray to foam and work its magic - and viola! Non-stinky sandals. They smell a bit like tea tree oil, but much better than my smelly hooves. After wearing them for a few days after, the odor still hasn't returned.

That's all well and good, but he also suggested I use them on my climbing shoes when I told him I was associated with Rockclimbing.com. As we all know, stinky feets is the name of the game in climbing. In the past I'd sprayed a liberal helping of Febreeze in there and it would always do the trick, albeit temporarily.

Well, I took one of my 5.10 newtons that I've had for three or so years, sprayed the outside quite liberally, the inside the same, and waited for magic.

And magic it was indeed. Not only are my shoes on the outside cleaner (and more pliable, the dirty leather had stiffened), the blood stains from Generator Crack's eating of my ankle dissipated and the shoes - they smell lovely!

Even more impressive to me, the 4 ounce bottle is still waiting for more applications. This stuff goes a long way. So, do yourself a favor - use this non-toxic and environmentally friendly stuff and keep your partner happy on the long, unshod ride home from the crags.
