not for those with sensative feet 3 out of 5 stars

Review by: hikerobby, 2009-07-30

they felt great in the shop, but on the rock they were more sensitive than I expected. a bit too much--my feet and big toe hurt like crazy after one hour. they also dug into my achilles a lot. maybe I have whimpy feet?? regardless, i was stoked on the fit in the shop, snug, slightly agressive, but not crazy downturned, and soft enough to walk flat footed. But in the end I can't wear them to climb.

Not quite the Visions, but a better heel. 4 out of 5 stars

These shoes aren't quite as good of a fit for me as my Visions, but the heel is a hair more aggressive and hooks more securely. Construction seems pretty good, as well.

vision v 5 out of 5 stars

i love the scarpas, ive been bouldering with sportiva venoms for a couple seasons. (went through a couple pairs)
venoms are great but the heal slips off on some heal hooks
the vision v's stay on better and climb as good or better
probably a little better on a dime edge or piece of conglomerate.
however i will warn you they stretch a half size.
i couldnt even get a pair 40's on my feet so i bought size 41's they are getting a little loose after 8 or 9 sessions
so i ordered a pair of 40.5's
