Description
Pull the trigger on the Trango .75 Maxcam, and watch its 2:1 expansion range render half of your rack utterly useless. By floating the axles for the outer cam lobes on the inner axle, Trango made the Maxcam to gobble up a huge span of crack sizes and allow you to carry fewer sizes, whether youre in the Valley, the Creek, or some obscure backwoods crag. And unlike other extended range cams, the Maxcams lightweight design makes it an easy addition to any trad climbers quiver.

Cleverest Cam Out There
Review by: Rudmin, 2010-02-14
I think that the Max Cam gets a lot of bad rep for not looking or functioning the same as other cams. I picked up the 0.75 for cheap and really love it. Contrary to what I read, it was not tricky, or particularly advanced to place. Just squeeze the trigger like any other cam. The range makes it a great go to piece. The only problem is that they seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth.
One thing I forgot to add is that the range isn't really 2:1. It might be possible to manipulate the lobes to get 2:1 but not by pulling the trigger. Maybe it's 1.8:1 or something similar to C4s
