Description

(description from various websites) Petzl: Codalix Zippered Chalk Bag - We like everything about Petzl's Codalix Zippered Chalk Bag. It's big enough for playing all day but not too large to be obtrusive or burdensome. The yawning chasm between the zipper teeth makes it hard to miss the chalk, even if you can't spare a glance. Zip the opening closed during those misty early-morning approaches and you won't have to deal with toting around a wet ball of chalk mud for the rest of the day. We even like the eye-popping graphic of the little guy climbing up the bag. It's not mainstream, but neither are you. :: Ergonomic shape and plush lining :: Wide opening for easy access :: Zippered closure on top protects contents from moisture and minimizes chalk spillage :: Cool (okay, it's cute too) Euro climber graphic near base of bag ::

Too small 2 out of 5 stars

Review by: mumba, 2010-01-16

I like the design but I cant get my hands in to it while climbing. I don't have large hands but if you have small ones it might suite you perfectly. I have only used it a couple of weeks so I don't know of the quality.

+ zipper
+ fleece
- size
- The fabric is not dusttight
would I buy it again? No

I use it as a camera bag (have a handsized point and shoot) for climbs, as it has a nice soft inside for the camera plus you can zip it shut. Plenty of room for the camera and some accessories, once you're done shooting, it just slips right back into the bag with ease, as opposed to a camera bag that fits snug. I don't actually think I'd like it as a chalk bag.

too small for my meat-lumps.....

i still use it cuz i'm too cheap to get me a new one...
if its gets torn or anything i wouldnt buy it again, i'd rathergo for "as big as possible"....

once i had to bail out cuz my hand got stuck in it...
everyone laughed ....

:( zipper is ok, fleece is ok, very clean bag....

Sticky zipper, small opening for large hands, and the zipper seam tore after two short seasons. Mediocre quality and functionality, but scores points for unique design and very low profile--easy to pack flat! Would not buy again.

Love the zipper! It's fast, clean, and something different. The shape keeps the chalk in the bottom, and the fleece is the best that I have seen. The brush holder runs side to side so you are less likely to impail yourself with it. If your using a ball this is not a good bag for you, but if loose is your way then this is the best bag out. It makes every other bag look like the same old thing. Can a bag ever be a true 5? Mabey not, but it can't really be a 1 either.
